Fine #000 – For creating a finished surface to stain, paint or apply other coatings. Ideal for high luster polishing of chrome, copper and brass.
For best results: Use the guide above to decide which grade is right for your project.
Use a sequence of grades: Always start with a course grade and progress through to medium or fine grade.
Always sand in the direction of the grain: use long smooth strokes. Working across the grain will scratch the surface.
Use a BRIWAX Ultra-Magic Microfiber Cloth to remove all dust before finishing.
Pre 1960’s paints may contain harmful lead.
Always use a dust mask, safety goggles and gloves.
Work in a well-ventilated area especially if using any type of chemical with steel wool sanding.
WARNING: Drilling, sawing, sanding or machining wood products can expose you to wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer. Avoid inhaling wood dust or use a dust mask or other safeguards for personal protection. For more information go to: http://www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/wood
