The most traditional of sealers, Briwax Shellac Sanding Sealer is produced using natural materials derived from sustainable sources. It is ideal for sealing the pores of wood. It comes as a 4 pound cut of high quality shellac and can be diluted with denatured alcohol. Used by master finishers to body up prior to French Polishing. It provides a good base under BRIWAX waxes to produce a higher shine.

In 1860, Henry Flack started manufacturing polishes and blending waxes in East London. These products were destined for workshops of the finest cabinetmakers and woodcarvers of the era. After WW2 they relocated in Beckenham, Kent. The original company was acquired in 1961 by J.W. Bollom & Co. Ltd. Since Henry's discovery in 1860, wood craftsmen around the world have used BRIWAX to protect, restore and recondition fine furniture and antiques to their original "patina" which could only be duplicated by laborious hand rubbing before the BRIWAX blend.
